I photographed this Burlington Northern #99 Passenger Coach “Ruth M” in Moses Lake, Wash.
This was reportedly part of Harry S. Truman’s “Give’em Hell” campaign tour.
The “Ruth M” and two BN cabooses were hooked up to 1944 Baldwin 2-8-0 Consolidation #557 as part of the House of Poverty Museum (by the late-Monte Holm) in Moses Lake, Wash. Sometime after we saw it in Moses Lake, the Ruth M was sent across the mountains to Chehalis for restoration.
