Just a few sample pics of the B-17G 44-83514 Sentimental Journey from my personal archives documenting the B-17s I have had the good fortune to see in person. In addition to seeing her multiple times in the Seattle area, at the CAF hangar in Mesa, Ariz., and at the historic Willow Run airfield during the amazing Gathering of Fortresses in 2010, I had a chance to fly aboard Sentimental Journey from Paine Field. In 2022, 447th BG veteran Dick Nelms took a flight and signed the bomb bay… he was 99 years young at the time.
