I photographed these Messerschmitt Me-208 examples in Virginia Beach and Titusville, Florida.
This was an adaptation of the WWII Messerschmitt 108 with a few simple changes like enlarging the cabin and converting to tricycle landing gear. Signage at the museum say that sub-assemblies and parts were still on the jigs when the factories were liberated by Patton’s forces, but commonly referred to as post-war.
