I photographed the CH-46D Sea Knight “Phrog” that made the type’s very final retirement flight to be on display at the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center. Years later I saw the one in the NAS Pensacola museum and stumbled on one near the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas.
Though similar at first glance, the Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight used by the Marines is essentially a smaller, lighter version of the CH-47 Chinook used by the Army.
