I photographed these Japanese Type 97 Machine Gun examples at Newport News, Udvar-Hazy, Camp Shelby and the Flying Heritage Collection. This was used just in front of the cockpit of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero while the Type 99 20mm Cannon was used in the wings.
