I photographed the sole remaining Aichi M6A Seiran (“Clear Sky Storm”) at the Smithsonian during our visit to Washington DC for the 447th BG reunion in October 2015. These were designed to be launched from I-400 submarines.
At Pearl Harbor, there is a model of the Japanese I-401 Submarine that depicts the Seiran planes emerging from the hangar on deck.
