I photographed this LVTP-5 amphibious armored personnel carrier at the USS Alabama Memorial in Mobile, Alabama. The LVTP-5 (Landing Vehicle, Tracked, Personnel) built upon earlier landing craft like the LVT-3 Bushmaster and LVT-4 Buffalo. It was able to transport 30-34 combat ready troops.
