I photographed the LV-116 Chesapeake in Baltimore Harbor.
Built in 1930, the Chesapeake is considered to be among the most modern in use with the U.S. Lighthouse Service in its time. Her main duties consisted of patrolling, inspecting, and guiding maritime traffic at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.
