I photographed this Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) Mystic at the Maritime Museum in Kingston. The Mystic’s sister DSRV is the DSRV 2 Avalon. These have been used in practice drills, but no American submarine has sunk since the DSRV program began.
