I photographed this ERCO Ball Turret at the Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola.
This ball turret was the preferred bow installation in the US Navy’s Consolidated PB4Y-1 Liberator and PB4Y-2 Privateer patrol bombers
This should not be confused with the Emerson Ball Turret.
