I photographed this Emerson Ball Turret at the Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola. This ball turret was built for the P2V-5, but as the mission for the P2V Neptune changed, the turrets were removed and replaced with a clear glass observation nose.
This should not be confused with the ERCO Ball Turret.
