Torpedo Mk 13 (multiple)

I photographed these Mk 13 (XIII) Torpedo examples at the NMoUSAF, Titusville and Pensacola. In 1938 the Mark 13 became the first specifically-designed aircraft torpedo accepted into service in the USN and was the standard air-delivered torpedo during WWII. The torpedo required planes to fly below 50 feet and slow to 130 mph to run properly.
