I photographed these German WWI-era 17cm Minenwerfer examples at Dubois WY and the Imperial War Museum’s location in London. The Minenwerfer terrorized Allied soldiers in the trenches because it fired heavy bombs that could be seen slowly tumbling from the sky. A smaller version 7.6cm Minenwerfer is at the Veterans Memorial Park in Auburn, Washington.
