I photographed this M2 4.2-inch Mortar at Dubois WY and the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
There also was an M2 60mm Mortar, that was considerably smaller (diameter and barrel length)
The M30 4.2-inch Mortar was the replacement for the WWII-era M2.
