Dahlgren Gun USS Monitor

I photographed this Dahlgren Gun from the USS Monitor under preservation at the Mariners Museum in Newport News VA

The facility is also doing the preservation of the USS Monitor’s Turret

Other notable examples I’ve seen include the Dahlgren Gun at the Petersburgh Battlefield and the Confederate CSS Virginia
