I photographed these Mk 6 Titan II ICBM warhead/reentry vehicle examples at Hill AFB and the Evergreen Museum in McMinnville, OR. The Titan II rockets were a development from the Titan I, but multiple silo accidents led to the deactivation of the Titan II. The Titan program wrapped up with the the extended Titan IV, which were used to launch space payload and satellites after the fall of the Soviet Union.
