I photographed this HGM-25A Titan I ICBM at the South Dakota Air Museum outside Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, SD. The museum also displayed one of the Titan stage 2 engines.
Later developments to the Titan program included the ill-fated Titan II and the extended Titan IV, which were used to launch space payload and satellites after the fall of the Soviet Union.
