I photographed this GBU-39B SDB (Small Diameter Bomb) at the Air Force Armory Museum at Eglin AFB in Florida. The ultra-low collateral damage version is the GBU-39 FLM (Focused Lethality Munition). The GBU-39 SDB hits non-moving targets, while its successor GBU-53 StormBreaker is designed to destroy moving targets in dust and bad weather.
