I photographed this Lewis and Vought VE-7 Bluebird at the Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola. A VE-7 performed the first shipboard launch using a compressed air catapult in May 1922. The plane can operate either with landing gear or a centerline pontoon float.
