I photographed this Space Shuttle Tunnel Adapter Truss at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The was placed in the cargo bay area to extend pressurized areas for the crew, and included an airlock to allow for spacewalks. The Tunnel Adapter flew on 21 Space Shuttle missions, including STS-9, 40, 42, 50, 55, 58, 65, 71, 74, 76, 78, 83, 89, 94, 91, 95, 96, 101, 106, 116 and 118.
