I photographed the very first 50-Star Flag at the Quartermaster Museum; Ft Lee VA
Flag “No. 1” was presented by Quartermaster General McNamara to President Eisenhower on 21 Aug 1959. The 50-star design is now the longest serving national flag of the United States.
