I photographed these Aichi D3A Val Type 99 dive bomber examples at Pearl Harbor and at the Planes of Fame museum in Chino, Calif.
These are two of three remaining Vals, the only other reportedly being displayed unrestored at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Texas.
