I photographed the Gossamer Albatross II at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Wash. In 1977, Paul MacCready won the first Kremer Prize for the flight of his human-powered Gossamer Condor over a closed circuit course and a second Kremer Prize when his similar Albatross completed a historic human-powered flight across the English Channel in 1979. The Albatross II on display at the Museum of Flight was built as a backup to the record-breaking Albatross aircraft.
