I photographed 447th BG veteran Dick Nelms as he took flight in this Schleicher ASK-21 glider during the 447th BG reunion in Rattlesden. It was only 75 years since Nelms was Pilot of the B-17 Flying Fortress Pandora’s Box flying from this very runway. The yellow tow plane was an Aeropro EuroFox 912.
