I photographed this Patriot mobile long-range surface-to-air missile at the IWM Duxford and an “in box” display at Fort Lewis. The Patriot system gained notoriety during the Persian Gulf War of 1991 with the claimed engagement of more than 40 Iraqi Scud missiles. The Imperial War Museum also displayed a Scud training aid in the American Museum at Duxford.
