I photographed this 3-pound Salute Gun on display in the New Tacoma Cemetery when my son performs TAPS during the Memorial Day services. The display sign indicates that the 3″ Salute Guns were removed from the Battleship Colorado when she was being dismantled at the Puget Sound Navy Yard. However, the actual placard reads 3-Pounder Guns so I will label accordingly. This may be very similar to the 3-inch Coastal Defense Guns we photographed at Fort Flagler.
