I photographed this WWII 25-pound Field Gun at the Imperial War Museum’s location in London. This gun was part of the British 11th Field Regiment that drove back Rommel’s forces and stopped the Germans advance into Egypt.
Other examples were on display at Duxford and in the Edinburgh Castle, which also had one that had formerly been used as the famed One O’Clock Gun, fired daily from the rampart so sailors could set their timepieces before embarking on a voyage.
I later saw two examples in storage outside the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois, Wyoming. It is interesting that the shielding under the barrel of the green one is not the same as the others.
