I photographed these RF-84 Thunderflash examples at the Pima Air Museum and the NMoUSAF.
Like its stablemate, the F-84F Thunderstreak the Thunderflash was a swept-wing version of the F-84 Thunderjet. The air intakes were moved to the wing root rather than in the nose but the loss in power due to reduced intake made the Thunderflash less effective as a fighter, but good in the photo-reconnaissance role.
