Some of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter examples I have photographed at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in Oregon, the Smithsonian NASM, NMoUSAF, Yanks/Chino and Pima. Concerns of pilots striking the T-tail led to the development of the Stanley C-1 downward-firing ejection seat.
