Here are some photos I took of Douglas C-124C Globemaster II examples on display at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson, Ariz., during a visit in the spring of 2017, and at the McChord AFB collection later that year. The last flight of a Globemaster II was 52-0994 “Old Shakey” when it was delivered from Willow Run, Mich., to McChord on Oct. 9, 1986. They had been assigned to the base from 1951 to 1969. The example at the NMoUSAF was one of the last two Air National Guard C-124s retired in 1974.
