I photographed this Army hospital trike at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) in Hood River, Oregon. According to the picture, the patient would be transferred in a wood box of sorts that had a caster for a front wheel. Then the rider would use the box itself to steer by pivoting the back of the box causing the front to turn the opposite way.
