I photographed these Cessna O-1 Bird Dog examples at NASM’s Udvar-Hazy Center and the NMoUSAF, and another briefly during its flight at McChord AFB. The L-19 (a redesigned Cessna Model 170) began in 1950, and was redesignated as the O-1 in 1962.
