I photographed this 1942 White Half Track during the 50th annual Arlington Fly-In. The M2 was initially intended for use as an artillery tractor by White, Autocar and Diamond. The design was recognized as having the potential for use by mechanized infantry, which spawned the larger-bodied M3 Half Track.
